Welcome to my corner of creativity and captured moments! I'm Becky, a spirited soul who once navigated the "safe" paths of life, armed with degrees in business, accounting, finance, and marketing. Yet, amid the spreadsheets and forecasts, I found my true calling lay far from the confines of conventional success. My journey into photography is a tale of rediscovering my essence—creativity.

 

The transformation began subtly. Marriage and a change of scenery brought me the gift of time and the chance to rekindle an old flame—photography. What started with borrowed family cameras and rolls of film evolved into a passionate endeavor to capture life's fleeting moments. To fund my dream of owning a DSLR camera, I embraced my inner master-baker, creating 860 gourmet cupcakes one winter. This endeavor not only secured my camera but also marked the beginning of a profound shift in my life's trajectory.

 

Photography, for me, is not just about snapping pictures. It's an exploration of emotion, a quest to capture the genuine essence of my subjects. My philosophy is simple: to evoke real smiles, to cherish the authenticity of moments, and to ensure my clients see their beauty through my lens. The stiff, posed photos of yesteryear have no place in my portfolio. Instead, I strive to make each session a celebration of individuality, a symphony of laughter and genuine emotion.

 

Education has been a cornerstone of my journey. From intensive courses that demystified the technicalities of my DSLR to specialized workshops on various photography styles, I've dedicated myself to mastering the art. My focus on emotion-evoking photography has allowed me to specialize in capturing the real, unguarded moments that make life beautiful.

 

My adventure in photography has taken me across the globe, from destination weddings to branding sessions, and even into the classrooms where I share my passion and knowledge. Yet, it's not just about the places I go or the shots I take. It's about the stories I tell and the memories I preserve. Photography has taught me to cherish every moment, to capture the essence of now, because life, in all its unpredictability, is a tapestry of moments worth remembering.

 

Outside the lens, my life is filled with joys that keep my spirit adventurous and my heart full. I'm a dog mama, an aunty to wonderful little humans, a farm girl at heart, and an enthusiast for travel, adventure, and the beauty of well-designed spaces. My love for interior design and home styling is another avenue through which my creativity flows, creating beautiful spaces that resonate with happiness and comfort.
